The Aftermath

For those of you who were amused by my lack of articulate discussion regarding ginger a few weeks ago, rest assured that my friends (on their own blogs) had something more to say on the subject.

Mija wrote about it first, scolding me for not providing enough detail. Obviously it is an experience she needs to learn about first-hand, as my exposition on the subject was not sufficient!

And then, after I spent hours slaving over a hot stove as I baked dozens of gingersnaps, Mija kindly recognized my hard work and said thank you.

Iris, on the other hand... my dearest Iris. Clearly, more brattiness was called for.

Don't you think?

Wow, what a thoughtful friend you are!

You know, I was thinking a little more detail would be nice...I mean...some of us just aren't as brave as you!

HUGS!

For the record, the cookies were DELICIOUS: they didn't even last a full evening in our house. So thank you, dear sparkle. I did think it was rather sneaky of you to send them to M, though. And apparently Chris agreed...

[hugs]

grace: Well, you know. Some things are just not fit for words.

Iris, I love you dearly. I especially love teasing you. And I'm glad you liked them. We still have some, you know. You're welcome to come and get them. lol.

Before I make any trips to your house I want reassurance that cookies are the ONLY form of fresh ginger there. I'm not taking any chances...

Well, *I'm* certainly not buying any. Nor will the princess, or D. Now, the other adult... I can't speak for him. He brought home the last batch.

Hm...wonder how ginger would grow in our garden... (see, I could send nice fresh home grown ginger!)

Then I guess I'll have to elicit promises from the other adult in your house, huh? ;-)

What are you offering in exchange for said promise, Iris m'dear? Everything has a price, you know.

And Raven, I like the idea of using ginger grown by a friend. I suspect it's a bit cold at your place to grow it though, unfortunately. Maybe I should grow it and send it to you. ;-)

Hi Sparkle, I love your blog! I linked to it on my own, I hope you don't mind. As for the ginger issue, in my house it is used for one of our more severe punishments so you are very brave if it is used for fun at your house! I do love ginger cookies tho . . .
